Wilson Sossion Mourns The Death Of His Mother Ruth Chepng’eno
Former Secretary-General of the Kenya National Union of Teachers (KNUT) and a former Nominated Member of Parliament representing workers' interests in Kenya's National Assembly, Wilson Sossion, has revealed news of his mother's passing.
Sossion revealed in a statement on X (formerly Twitter) that his mother, Ruth Chepng'eno Sossion, collapsed at home and was declared dead upon arrival at Tenwek Mission Hospital.
"It is with deep shock and sorrow that we announce the passing on to glory of our beloved mother Ruth Chepng’eno Sossion. She collapsed at home and was pronounced dead on arrival at Tenwek Hospital. May she Rest In Eternal Peace," Sossion stated.
Sossion, known for his active role in Kenyan politics and education, served as the Secretary-General of the Kenya National Union of Teachers (KNUT) from 2013 to 2017, after which he was nominated as a Member of Parliament by the Orange Democratic Party (ODM) in 2017.
