Medical Officer Commits Suicide In His Mother's House In Migori.

 A 35-year-old medical officer named Fredrick Owuor tragically passed away by suicide in Rongo, Migori County on Thursday, amid suspected domestic conflicts. His lifeless body was discovered in his mother's residence in Kabuoro Sub-location, suspended by a rope tied around his neck.



Johanes Ooko Malela, the Area Assistant Chief, verified the incident but indicated that the reasons behind the medical officer's decision to take his own life are still unknown. Nevertheless, unofficial sources suggest that he may have been grappling with family problems involving his spouse.

The matter remains under active police investigation, as authorities seek to shed light on the circumstances surrounding this unfortunate event.

Pending an autopsy and the ongoing police inquiries, the deceased's body has been transferred to Rosewood Hospital mortuary.

In the meantime, provincial administrators in Migori County have expressed deep concern over the growing incidence of suicides in the region. They urge the public to explore alternative conflict resolution methods and seek help when facing emotional distress.

Regrettably, police reports indicate that Migori County has witnessed more than two cases of suicide in the past week alone, underscoring the urgency of addressing this issue.

Wilson Sossion Mourns The Death Of His Mother Ruth Chepng’eno

Former Secretary-General of the Kenya National Union of Teachers (KNUT) and a former Nominated Member of Parliament representing workers' interests in Kenya's National Assembly, Wilson Sossion, has revealed news of his mother's passing. Sossion revealed in a statement on X (formerly Twitter) that his mother, Ruth Chepng'eno Sossion, collapsed at home and was declared dead upon arrival at Tenwek Mission Hospital. "It is with deep shock and sorrow that we announce the passing on to glory of our beloved mother Ruth Chepng’eno Sossion. She collapsed at home and was pronounced dead on arrival at Tenwek Hospital.
