Migori: Man Gives 13-Year Old Pupil Lift, Defiles Her.

A primary school pupil in Suna West Sub-county is nursing injuries at Migori Referral Hospital after she was defiled by an unidentified person on Sunday last while she was going to school in the morning.



Suna Oruba location Chief Charles Ouma said the 13-year-old girl was going to school in the morning when an unidentified person offered her a lift in his vehicle only to drag her to a nearby bush and defiled her.

After the act, Ouma said the suspect drove the girl to a nearby tree plantation in Rumors area and dropped her before speeding off.

The Chief said boda boda riders who were around the area where the suspect dropped the pupil chased him, but unfortunately he successfully escaped. However, they managed to capture the registration number of the vehicle used by the suspected paedophile.  

Ouma said the vehicle used by the suspect was netted around Kowino area in Suna West Sub County and it’s now detained at Oruba police post pending police investigation.




The area chief said the matter has also been picked up by the children department and he is optimistic that the suspect will be arrested and charged in court.

Ouma said they will ensure that the pupil is served justice.

Sugarcane Farmers To Receive Their Dues Before December- President Ruto

 President William Ruto has now stated that the government will pay sugar cane farmers who have yet to receive their dues, as part of plans to revitalize sugar companies in the Nyanza region that are facing financial difficulties.
