Joy As Migori Man Who Left Home At 19-Years-Old Returns Aged 71.

 A family in Karungu, Migori County, is celebrating after one of their relatives who left the house at the age of 19 eventually came home at the age of 71.

Joshua Ayata Odero's family, led by elder Mike Oketch, said they were relieved to see him back after over 52 years away. They had been concerned about his location.

According to Odero, the family had given up on finding him until he rode home on a motorcycle on Tuesday, September 26.

He claimed that his homecoming had made the family happy and promised that they would help him settle in as quickly as possible with their support.

Odero continued by stating that he was relieved to be returning to his native country after spending many years in Tanzania.

According to him, he traveled to the neighboring country in search of employment but ultimately decided to settle with his family in the Mwanza region.

Odero added that he has long since lost contact with his family members and that he plans to move the family from Tanzania to Kenya in the future so that he may reconnect with them.

Sugarcane Farmers To Receive Their Dues Before December- President Ruto

 President William Ruto has now stated that the government will pay sugar cane farmers who have yet to receive their dues, as part of plans to revitalize sugar companies in the Nyanza region that are facing financial difficulties. The Head of State, on a four-day tour of Luo Nyanza, said the farmers will be paid their dues before December and vowed to deal ruthlessly with the individuals behind Kenya's sugar mess.  "I know sugar companies here owe farmers some Ksh.860.M, I will go look for that money, and we will be back here to pay farmers before December," he said.  At the same time, he stated that the government would announce a new course of action for the sugar companies, pointing out that a government bailout will not provide a long-term solution.
