Eight Counties To Be Affected By Power Outage On Thursday, KPLC Has Announced.

Kenya Power has announced scheduled power interruptions in eight counties on Thursday.

The affected counties are Nairobi, Kilifi, Trans Nzoia, West Pokot, Kisumu, Migori, Embu, Isiolo, and Kiambu. These interruptions will occur at various times throughout the day and in specific areas.

In Nairobi, areas such as Muthaiga Road, Muthaiga Crescent, Naivasha Avenue, and others will experience disruptions from 9.00 am to 5.00 pm. In Kilifi, places like Simakeni, Kaliangombe, and Kokotoni Centre will be affected during the same hours. 

Parts of Trans Nzoia and West Pokot will experience interruptions from 9.00 am to 3.00 pm, including Kapenguria and Maili Saba. Kisumu areas like Ober Kamoth and Paga Beach will be affected from 9.00 am to 3.00 pm.

Migori will have interruptions from 9.00 am to 3.00 pm in areas such as Onjele Hospital and KCB Isibania. Embu areas, including Gatondo C/Fact and Kiamuringa Market, will be impacted from 9.00 am to 5.00 pm. 

Isiolo will experience disruptions in locations like Red Cross and Isiolo Catholic from 9.00 am to 5.00 pm. Lastly, Kiambu areas, including Kabuku Water and Windsor Heights, will be affected from 9.00 am to 5.00.

Sugarcane Farmers To Receive Their Dues Before December- President Ruto

 President William Ruto has now stated that the government will pay sugar cane farmers who have yet to receive their dues, as part of plans to revitalize sugar companies in the Nyanza region that are facing financial difficulties. The Head of State, on a four-day tour of Luo Nyanza, said the farmers will be paid their dues before December and vowed to deal ruthlessly with the individuals behind Kenya's sugar mess.  "I know sugar companies here owe farmers some Ksh.860.M, I will go look for that money, and we will be back here to pay farmers before December," he said.  At the same time, he stated that the government would announce a new course of action for the sugar companies, pointing out that a government bailout will not provide a long-term solution.
